Piazza Pet of the Week

The staff of Piazza Honda of Reading are excited about our Pet Adoption Program called the Piazza Pet of the Week!  Each Wednesday at 7:50am during the Chris Stigall show on 1210-AM WPHT, the new Piazza Pet of the Week will be announced by the PSPCA!

The PSPCA is headquartered in Philadelphia where they were founded nearly 150 years ago! The PSPCA is the largest and most comprehensive humane society in Pennsylvania. Join their mission and support the programs that improve the lives of animals in our region!

Please scroll to watch Jerry in the video below. Pepper, Holly, Whiskers, and Thistle are still up for adoption.

Jerry is a 3 year old Pittie Mix. He was rescued by the PSPCA's Humane Law Enforcement Department. Jerry is a lover and very excited dog! He loves everyone he meets and jumps on people because he cannot contain his excitement. Due to his energy level, he would do best in a home with teens and older children. Come meet Jerry and his brother Ben today!
Whiskers is a 6 year old domestic long-haired grey and white cat. This friendly guy was surrendered by his owner to the PSPCA's Danville center. His previous owner could no longer take care of him. Whiskers is good with cats and other dogs. He likes children too as long as they are not pestering him! Whiskers adoption fee is only $20 with the purchase of a collar and tag until June 30th.
 Rupert - Adopted!!
Rupert is a 1 year old male black and beige domestic short-hair cat. He is very social and friendly, loving to receiving pets, and tolerant of being picked up. Rupert would love to find his forever home soon! June is also National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month. Rupert's adoption fee would be $20 until June 30th with the purchase of a collar and tag.
 Ruppy - Adopted!!
Ruppy is a 5 year old Beagle/Australian Kelpie mix. Ruppy is a sweet dog who loves his toys and would love it even more to find his forever family. It takes him a little while to calm down after going for a car ride or being left alone. The PSPCA recommends crating if left alone for extended periods of time. Ruppy would love a fenced in yard or access to a dog park where he can roam freely.
Holly is a 10 year old beautiful Pittie Mix. She is part of the PSPCA's Senior Prom promotion. Holly loves to be around people, have her belly rubbed, and go for walks. She walks so nicely on her leash! Holly is house broken and crate trained also. She is on a low cost daily medication to keep her healthy. Other than that, she is more than ready to find her forever family!
 Carol - Adopted!!
Carol is a lovely and sweet 4 year old Lab/Pit Bull mix. She was rescued by Humane Law Enforcement. Her shelter friends describe her as lovely and sweet as the day is long. Carol has a lot of energy and she would benefit from a home with a fenced yard so she can run around and play. Carol would be a great addition to any active family! She is learning her commands including sit and stay and would benefit from continued training. Carol gets very excited to meet new people and she can't wait to meet you!
Thistle is a 6.5 year old Pit Bull mix. He is a sweet and social dog looking for his forever home. Thistle loves to be pet and play with his toys. Training time is his favorite time (for the treats) and he comes when he is called. Thistle would love to find his forever home! He will make a great dog for any home! Come and meet him today!
 Diva - Adopted!!
Diva is an adult female Pit Bull. She was rescued by the Humane Law Enforcement Team. She didn't arrive in the best shape at the shelter, but she is recovering well and showing off her shining personality! Diva loves to greet everyone and she is always smiling. Come in to meet this happy girl today!
Pepper is a 4 year old Pit Bull mix. She is sweet and friendly and has the best laid back personality. Pepper is a celebrity around the shelter. Everyone loves her. She is up for anything! She loves to go for walks, take car rides, and snuggle. Pepper is anxiously awaiting her forever family. Come on down to the PSPCA and see if she would complete your family!
 Iris - Adopted!!
Iris is a 4 year old Pittie Mix. She is very sweet and energetic and loves to go for walks with her other canine friends. Iris was rescued by the PSPCA's Humane Law Enforcement offices in 2014 and sadly has never been adopted. She should be the only pet in the house when she goes home. She isn't a fan of cats, but can get along well with other dogs who are leashed. Is Iris for you?
